Baa-baa-baa
I think this is most of us, really. I couldn’t do it either. I’ve mercy-killed an injured mouse and even that felt like a lot. Some people have the rule they won’t eat anything they couldn’t kill themselves. I think there’d be a lot fewer animals eaten if everybody lived by that. I don’t, currently, but I think it makes a lot of sense.
This story by Chef Christo Peskias was in the “Eating Animals” episode of the Myoclonic Jerk Podcast. If you ever find yourself in Greece, you’d do well to check out one of Christo’s restaurants. Lots of veggie options!
